How could I forget! To new folks (and everyone, for that matter): if you'd like to keep track of The Murloc is Lonely without having to remember to check back periodically (I do update less often than I'd like :( ), you should sign up for the super-convenient Albatros Bits e-mail alerts. You'll get an e-mail every time I post one of these front-page news posts, which if you scan back through the Archives is very not-often and not-spammy (tonight's two non-story posts notwithstanding). I'm in the middle of my traditional between-parts break, which allows me to get a better handle on the minutae of what's going to happen in the story's next Part (some big stuff!). I've also got a good chunk of the next chapter written, although I made a dramatic decision tonight which moved a good third of what I'd written to either a later chapter or a later portion of the present one. It'll make for a better chapter, but it does mean that I'm gonna have to delay posting new stuff a little while longer.
I was lucky enough to nab a Community Spotlight on the World of Warcraft site last week. It's always a great feeling to see the pageviews rolling in. I've gotten a few very nice e-mails from folks expressing their appreciation for the story - I, of course, appreciate that you're all enjoying it! If you've reached the thrilling conclusion (!) of Part One of Book Two and want to know when the next chapter is coming out, ask the regulars - I post new bits when they're ready.
If you're looking for something to check out in the mean time, have a look at the Orcmar Shorts, a series of short-stories which weave together to show Horse's time in Orcmar. They're a different style from the first-person narration of the novels proper, and I'm quite fond of them. (The layout of that page is a remnant of an earlier, less web-savy era of mine - so I understand if it's not conducive to such, but you should really read them in order.)
There is also a small and growing collection of fan art that folks have sent in - if you like to draw or paint or photoshop, you should know that fan art is my favorite thing in the world. :) If you feel like delving a little deeper into some of the characters in the story, you should dive into (and help add to) the Lonelipedia, TMiL's own wiki. The forums have a great deal going on on them as well - including World of Murloc, the Writers' Nest, and, as always, an ongoing nuclear conflict between a number of forum regulars.
