World of Warcraft Patch 1.10, "Storms of Azeroth", currently live on the public test realm, includes a feature I've been itching for since launch: Weather! I'm probably giving away the fact that I'm not the hardest-core of raiding WoWers when I say this, but I am looking forward to this feature more than any other that they've put in in the last year. Anyway, I hopped on the one non-contest realm (there are a couple of cool contests going on, but I'm not hitting them up) and spent a good couple hours over the last few days tooling around with my prefab human rogue Sly looking for weather.

I've just now gotten clued in on this cool thing that some forever-anonymous person started, which is a chat channel creatively dubbed "theweatherchannel". It's a bunch of random people who run around the world looking for weather and reporting back to the channel. I've had limited luck so far - the tail end of a flurry in Winterspring (very exciting!) - and now, of course, I'm flying to Dublin. This is one of those things which works best when more people do it, so I thought I'd give it a shout-out here: any of you guys that are interested in catching a sneak peek at weather in Warcraft should hop onto the non-contest test realm, type /join theweatherchannel, and help everybody out. Then hop on my forum and let me know how it goes!

Next time I post, I'll be on my forum, and in the place where history comes from. Until then - as they say on the fair green isle - Cheers!
