I'm working on a FAQ for "The Murloc is Lonely", for fun, found here.  Have a look and if you can think of any more questions or have any comments, post them here.

My cat woke me up at 10 this morning, so here's blog.

World of Warcraft just posted a big ol' Hunter talents preview on its main site.  I've got a low-level-and-rising dwarf hunter up on Lothar (named Madoran... ::shrug:: only name I could think of that wasn't taken), so I'm checking it out.  The hunter reaction seems to be mostly positive, and of course there's the requisite some fools bitching and moaning in general chat.

Penny Arcade finally gave WoW its game of the year award back, albeit grudgingly: "I suppose that since Gabe and Kara raid every night, and I play it whenever I possibly can...."  (Hey PA, please don't link me... I don't want my webhost account to choke on its own blood. =] )

Check this video out: the Chemical Brothers and kung fu get together for some sweetness.

The beginning of Chapter Twenty has been created, refined and posted.  In other news, Microsoft Word reports that my story is now over a hundred pages long.  Woah.

Went to Hot Tomato's for lunch today, to celebrate with my friend Diana the fact that she's finally going back to Bulgaria and getting out of our hair.  The waitress we had at the restaurant was off her beam... offered Emily fish instead of the wrap she'd ordered, gave Em a glass of water with a bug in it and another glass, in replacement, after we asked twice, with lipstick on it.  She also managed to forget which one of us (Emily) had gotten our meal wrapped in the three minutes it took her to wrap it.  (Maybe she wasn't forgetful after all...)  Jason my push-over boss left her a good tip anyway though... possibly because she was hot, or possibly because she brought us our Irish car bombs-for-desert without a hitch.  (Public Service Announcement: Never order Irish car bombs in Ireland.  Black and tans either, it turns out.)

The story's been ruminating all week, but work has been busy and friends have been taking up my sleep time.  I took an accidental nap today from 6 to 8, so I should have presence of mind for a few hours to cook something up.

I seem to have completely confused Google.  The ads showing up on the banners range from prefab essays for hire on "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" (granted, on a page in which I link to the full text of that excellent and ethereal poem) to body odor products at the bottom of Chapter Nineteen, which does indeed include unpleasant odors... no bodies yet though!

Edit: anyone need a bankruptcy attorney?  Check out the ad on my faq page...

The rest of Chapter Nineteen is up, just in time for server maintenance.

My mother has a theory where people should have to pass tests before they can become parents.  I'm not sure I agree, but now and then things surface that make me think it wouldn't be that bad an idea.

I finally wrote and posted the first couple pages of Part Four!  Have a look on the story page.  And with that, my work day is over: time to go relearn my jump-shot from Isaac.

Do you like British humor?  This site is way Britishier than mine.

So the story's coming along, in my head.  For new peoples' reference, I post this thing as I write it, and that's a pretty slow process, especially here between parts.  I've written past the hardest moment of each part to write, which is the first paragraph.  The rest is coming as soon as possible; unfortunately, my job decided to heat up this week, and my boy Nate just got back from Europe, and ... um... Harry Potter.

Soon, though.  When it's ready.

I threw a couple of Google ads up around the site in the hopes of making back some of the hosting fees.  I noticed that a lot of them are for buying gold in-game....  Folks, don't buy gold in-game.  It ruins economies.

In other news, I can post on the WoW forums again.  This is not to imply that I have anything interesting to say.  (I'm fairly certain the glitch was on their end, regarding account renewal or something.)  In other news, my friends rock and took me drunk-minigolfing in the remnants of Hurricane Dennis yesterday for my birthday.  It ruled, except that we kept accidentally swearing in front of kids.  Oops.

Blizzard has apparently decided to rescind my forum-posting privileges for the time being.  I'm also taking my standard between-parts breather, to get a final sense of what Part Four has in store (lots) and to get this site up and ready for unveiling.  I guess my thread is just gonna chill until Blizz figures out that I'm still a subscriber.

p.s. it's my birthday tomorrow!

Website designed and created in less than twenty-four hours!  The minimalist design (ascetic aesthetic?) is intentional.  It'll be tweaked in the ongoing, although not much, because despite my boy Sheeley's attempt to explain php to me, it's all written in basic Frontpage.  =[

For the time being, this website is essentially dedicated to hosting my Warcraft-inspired serial, The Murloc is Lonely.  Eventually, it is intended to build into a community of writers and readers, of creative plotters and prose-crafters coming together to ferment and foment ideas.

For now, though, have a read, throw up an idea, and check back periodically for more.  I usually post new story bits on the Warcraft Forums at least once a week.

(I'd like to thank www.theangrymurloc.com for hosting my story in the months between when I finished Part One and when I built this site.)
