Chapter II - The Crown of the Earth

This week's chapter is quite short - possibly the shortest one yet. The few remaining chapters in the rewrite are all considerably longer, though, so I hope you won't mind one week of light reading too much. Besides, Teldrassil is my favorite set piece yet.
So here's Chapter II - The Crown of the Earth.
For folks that keep track of such things: I've removed the last several chapters of the first draft (over at oldmurloc.php). That's partly so I can declare the rewrite over four chapters sooner (!), but it's mostly because I'm going to be rearranging things significantly, proceeding somewhat differently, and revealing things which I'd previously simply sat down and expositioned (you'd think I'd know better by now) in better ways. Anyway, thought I should say something, in the interest of full disclosure.
