Good point. After all, the saying is: "The best thing since sliced bread." I personally wouldn't call it great, but to each their own.

That saying is such a misnomer ( or mis-Gnome-r ) though. Shouldn't it be "The best thing since pre-sliced bread?"

Otherwise it's like saying people made bread, and never cut it, just ripped of hunks of it. Then one day a person took a knife to it, and wala(!) sliced bread.

Well how else do you think sliced bread came to be?

I would have expected him to be a silver elite.

Then why did he need Katy M's help in keeping Horse from killing him?

Obviously, if he unleased his full power, he would have either killed or severely wounded Horse. He had to use Katy to avoid serious injury to Horse Very Happy

I'll have to wait until something new comes out that changes my mind. Until then, it's college/work/Internet/Gunbound/Civ4/TV(World Cup is nice)/etc.

I thought the same thing, quit for a month, and sure enough got sucked back into it with the Naxxramus patch coming soon and just the addiction that is WoW.

Anyways, first time I've posted, I've been following the story silently since book 1. I guess you could call me a closet-reader? I'm a closet WoW player, so I guess it works. The story is awesome, I love the distinct reflections on what is modern-day in WoW, the whole futuristic point of view is really great. Keep it up you crazy bird you, and yes, I would buy a book if it was published.

p.s. - world cup is deffinitely a bonus. thusfar through summer it gets me through the afternoon before raiding / prime pvp hours Smile

I am compiling this reply as I read the posts.
-Night Elf men having all golden eyes because they will all do great things is a horrible cop out. Onokos, good point on the females, btw.
-Cenarius is dead at the hands of the Warsong, so anything is possible.
-Malfurion surviving without Tyrande Whisperwind would have to be a horribly lonely existence.
-I can recall no time where it was stated who the crow on Horse's windowsill was, nor anything saying that Katy can turn into one.
-Horse not knowing of Tyrande Whisperwind is, I think, understandable. She was not his people, nor their allies in his time. His people would be far more likely to relate their own heroes, than the heroes of their allies of the far distant past, whom many seem to think had died off. Yeah, he was a little dull when it came to gender, though.
-I will refrain from a rant on the lore. I suspect it would simply bore the majority, and frighten the rest.

Epic cheese vendors? Ongoing debates over sliced bread? This place if better than the WoW forums!

Good chapter, Albatros, just kind of wish he hadn't spent the entire chapter climbing. I guess it's one of those process chapters, instead of a meaty content one. Still, very well written, and I love hearing how Teldrassil has changed in the time. Where did the purple portal go, though?

Everyone thought the crow was Medivh because the scene was very similar to the one with Medivh and Thrall in the orc campaign cinematic in WC3

...But, It seems that M can turn into a crow if indeed that was her flapping off after falling off the gryphon. But did she ever wear a cloak lined with feathers?

More like, exactly the same as the one in WC3. With the exception of Horse being the guy having the dream instead of Thrall.

Hmm, Stargate Worlds seems interesting. I'll be sure to give it a look once it comes out.
