I liked it a lot. But it left me itching for more even more than usual. He spent that whole time climbing, and I kept waiting for him to start training. Oh, well. Only 7 days.

Am I correct in assuming that the city he walked into at the end of the chapter is the original Darnassus?

The tree's been growing at a great clip for seven hundred years. In WoW, Teldrassil is sort of a gigantic stump with a lowbie zone stuck on top - what I wanted was a true tree. A lot has changed, and the whole tree is sort of a city - or, I guess more accurately, suburban sprawl. But yeah, the Drassi'n can be understood as the logical extension of Darnassus.

Anyone notice what there isn't a lot of in Teldrassil any more?

Artistic Smile. You're moving into a more 'epic' kind of tale here... Is it the elves' reputation? Very Happy

That horrible, obnoxious Purple fog, maybe?

Anyway, I loved the chapter. The descriptions were delicious, and the creativity of the new setting astonished me. It's not easy to come up with vibrant, creative, unreal locations like that, and much harder still to describe them so that others can visualize what you are describing. Many kudos to you.

I would hate to be Tyrande...the commute from home down at the bottom of the city all the way up to the very top of the tree must be murder every day, even with wings.

Am I the only one wondering about Tyrande's surname change?

maybe it would get old after a few hundred years, but if I could turn into a golden eagle and fly up a mind-blowingly gigantic tree to the top of it to go to work, I'd go on Saturdays.

...anyway, who said she works up there?

Different Tyrande. Tyrande Whisperwind wasn't a druid. I spent most of Thursday wracking my brains for elf names (since I no longer have access to WoW (( Shocked )) ), and wikipedia gave me that one. further inferences should be drawn. =]

Obviously not entirely out, or he wouldn't be able to post. Everything's just sporadic ever since he moved. Hopefully it will all settle down soon.

I wonder where all the animals that are on Teldrassil in WoW went.

Well, it has been six centuries ... I guess we'll just have to wait for Alb's explanation. Wink
