Just because the idea was from somewhere else doesn't mean it was plagarised. Thats like saying star trek and deep space nine are the same show. (sorry, i couldn't think of a better example) besides, It still doesn't detract from the fact that he wrote a very good peice. _________________

Yeah, I'm ambivalent about it. I don't care he plagiarised (though a mention would have been appropriate) and I don't think the people from Pan's Labyrinth do either.
On the up side, what you quoted, Orcid, is actually just the layer that I was missing from Giovanni's myth: They fear death more than they want immortality.
It could be a direct reference to undeath , where you have to die first before you can be immortal.  _________________ the sun may melt the rain

I swear I didn't know it was in that movie O.O
And if I did I totally would've mentioned it, like I told Orcid I'm not near that low.
Plus its a famous movie, right? I never saw it, well I watched the beginning but it was weird. Anyway, why would I be that stupid???  _________________
