I remember Thunder Bluff being mentioned when Horse returns to Mulgore but do we ever get a look at it? Has it changed as much as the other capitals has? Did it also have it's own Law Agent?

That's a lore question for Albatros, of course Smile. I'm sure he hasn't worked out the entire World of TMiL, but I'm sure he can give you a fitting answer once he's considered it Very Happy. He might have already (I would have, Thunder Bluff is very different from many other cities!) because Horse is from Mulgore, but there's no way of knowing other than waiting for him to weigh in Smile.

Anyone want to start speculating in his absence? Very Happy

Well, TB has almost certainly expanded beyond the mesas, considering the limits they placed on space. Perhaps the original area of the city is where the rich(er) residents live.

maybe the plains is the slums and there are now caves going to the top which would be the carrot when the grounds the stick.

i always felt like maybe the tauren were never suited for city life, and TB never grew much more than it's wow days. I see it as just being camps up on the mesas just like in the game. The tauren seem content to live in their little camps and villages. Not expansionistic like the humans or orcs.

Remember, Ironforge hasnt grown much beyond its original state either. Just because it's a lot later, doenst mean it has to expand as much as Stormwind or Orcmar.

Yeah, I never had the impression that Tauren were suited for metropolitan life, either. They have become sedentary, but that doesn't mean they have to build the Alexandria of Southern Kalimdor; They're content with little. And I don't think they have the drive to destroy the wildlife around their towns and cities just to inhabit it. I'm rather thinking they'd use any and all engineering skills they could receive from the other races to either hollow out the mountain to live in (Petra style!) or make room in their totems to build flats ^^.

Other than that, they don't strike me as the folk that have six children a couple... Plus, who wants to come live in the middle of nowhere in Mulgore of any of the other races? There is no internal or external drive to expand their city. They might have modernised it, though.

well since tauren in general seem to be derived from native americans any move to modernize them or the city would probably mean a breakdown of their culture, which would contradict Horse's childhood stories. Im thinking TB looks much like it always did, except maybe somewhat more permanent looking structures

I always thought those big cows were groovy creatures, explaining why they turned all of TB into a giant disco ballroom!

Yeah, that would be cool. I think Horse will be going there after he becomes a world hero.
